Shivani Lalloo, APC, CRC

Shivani Lalloo is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. As someone diagnosed with a chronic illness at a young age, Shivani understands how challenging it is to cope with uncertainty in life. She is passionate about helping others who feel overwhelmed by the many challenges that life unexpectedly throws at them. She works with individuals experiencing difficulties with anxiety, chronic illness, depression, self-esteem, stress management, and life transitions. Shivani also enjoys working with teenagers to navigate their way through school to overcome academic, emotional, and social challenges.

As a licensed associate professional counselor, Shivani believes in using compassion, empathy, and mindfulness to help her clients build on their strengths to cope with challenges in life. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and other creative interventions in her counseling approach. Shivani aims to incorporate her clients’ culture and values into therapy, as she believes each client is the expert of their own life.

Shivani completed a Master’s of Science graduate degree in Health Psychology from University College London, focusing on understanding health behaviors and using a holistic model to help clients reach their full potential. After relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, Shivani completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling.

Prior to joining Coach & Counsel, Shivani worked as an intern and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor with the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency. She gained valuable experience in guiding adolescents and adults through challenges such as coping with a chronic illness or disability, career exploration, advocating for equal opportunities in college and employment, and finding purpose in life while overcoming emotional, physical, and social barriers. This experience has enabled Shivani to help her clients gain relief from social anxiety, depression, and stress.

Shivani is working towards professional licensure (LPC) under the supervision of Heather Love, LPC, CPS.
